Lisa passed the Court of Master Sommeliers’ Advanced Exam in 2010 and is pursuing her Master Sommelier Certification. Lisa went from New York to San Francisco and then to San Diego, passionately pursuing education and new skills in the world of wine and food. She was one of the founding members of Women’s Wine Alliance, a Past President for seven years, and currently serves as Women’s Wine Alliance President.
Her newest adventure is joining the team at Market Restaurant and Bar. This iconic restaurant is synonymous with excellence. Lisa will bring her passion for food and wine to the service team and guests. This restaurant is the heart and soul of Chef Carl Schroeder and Lisa will bring her knowledge to create a program that pairs with the culinary magic that represents Market.
She brings with her multiple food and beverage certifications, including: Advanced Sommelier from Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Specialist of Wine from Society of Wine Educators, Certified Wine Professional and an AOS Degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America.
A lifelong veteran of restaurants, Certified Sommelier Tami Wong was the second San Diegan to be chosen by Wine & Spirits Magazine as one of the six Best New Sommeliers in 2014. In 2015, she received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for her list at Juniper and Ivy. She is a founding member of Nat Diego, San Diego’s first natural wine festival. As a board member of and contributor to CampestreMAG, she shares her love of the San Diego and Baja wine community. She works as a sales representative for Estate Wines Ltd and Wine Wise. In November 2020, she launched Stay Classy Selections, the first wholesale distribution company featuring San Diego County wines and ciders. Mira Costa Community College and San Diego State University alumni, Tami is all in on San Diego.

Lauren Cain
Lauren Cain, known as "Your Favorite Wino," is a wine professional with a background in hospitality and marketing. With over 17 years of experience in fine dining, catering, and bartending, her passion for wine led her to a career in marketing, where she has worked on large-scale wine and culinary events for both industry professionals and consumers. She also founded Vine Shine Marketing, specializing in marketing for wineries, and offers private and corporate wine tastings.
In 2020, Lauren deepened her wine expertise by earning her WSET Level II with Distinction and is currently pursuing WSET Level III and the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) certification. Dedicated to sustainability in wine, she is passionate about educating consumers and professionals on thoughtful wine choices.

Anita Busquets
Anita I. Busquets, M.B.A. is a highly experienced, start-up executive who has served in a wide range of operating and financial management roles.
Ms. Busquets serves as President of Biotechnology Management Consultants. She uses her experience to assist scientists and entrepreneurs to start and grow biotechnology companies. She is a co-founder and member of KI Investment Holdings, a local angel capital fund founded in 2006. Until December 31, 2016, she was the co-owner of Aliane Wines, a San Diego based wine importer and distributor of fine wines produced by small independent family-owned vintners in France.
Ms. Busquets has served on multiple Boards including serving as Trustee and Chairman of the Board of the San Diego Natural History Museum, Toragen, Inc., Women’s Wine Alliance, NCE Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Athena San Diego, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest and Project Wildlife.

Teri Kerns
Originally from the Oregon Coast, Teri Kerns moved to Ramona, California, in 2004 with her husband, Micole, following her naval service and a successful career in business development within the health care industry, from which she retired in 2021.
Teri and Micole began making wine in 2005 and planted their first vineyard in 2006. Their winery, Ramona Ranch Winery, has been committed to sustainability since its inception and became San Diego County’s only Certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery in 2017. The property features an insectary that promotes biodiversity by attracting beneficial insects and birds, and it has been recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
Specializing in vineyard-specific, single-varietal wines, Ramona Ranch produces estate Tannat and Sangiovese, as well as a Super Tuscan Blend, which earned a Gold Medal at the Sunset International Wine Competition.
Teri oversees business development, winery licensing, marketing, and sales, as well as operations for the tasting room. She is dedicated to enhancing sustainability through native cover crops, owl boxes, and a strict no-herbicide policy, believing that fostering a thriving natural ecosystem creates balance both in the vineyard and in life.
She holds an MBA and earned her WSET Level 2 Certificate in 2022.

Veronica Carrillo
Veronica Carrillo is a wine enthusiast with a deep appreciation for wine and the culture surrounding it. With over 20 years of experience attending various wine courses, she has organized Baja Wine Tastings and Private Tours to Baja California, sharing the region’s unique wines with others.
An active member of the Women's Wine Alliance, Veronica values the camaraderie and shared knowledge within the wine community. As a member of the San Diego Wine Guild, she regularly attends monthly tastings and participates in the annual Summer Party, where she showcases Baja wines.
Passionate about wine education and collaboration, Veronica works with other professionals on marketing, promotional, and educational events, often incorporating Baja wine tastings. With a love for learning about wines and their origins, she enjoys sharing this knowledge in a way that is both engaging and approachable.
