WWA Scholarship Application

All applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on WEDNESDAY, November 29, 2023. Award recipients will be announced on December 3 at the WWA Scholarship Award Reception.

Award amount will be given for a SINGULAR event up to $1,000 and will be made payable to the recipient as a reimbursement after the class or exam in 2024. One scholarship will be designated for a WWA member from an underrepresented community.

Eligible expenses that can be covered by the scholarship include exam/course fees, applicable study materials (not including wine) and travel expenses. Award recipients must submit receipts to ensure award money was used for the intended purpose, and the scholarship award is used within 12 months of the award. If not used, the scholarship is forfeited. If a scholarship is forfeited, the member is eligible to apply the following year. If a member is awarded a scholarship, they must wait two calendar years before applying again. If a member applies and is not awarded a scholarship, they are eligible to apply the following calendar year.

To apply, membership must be in good standing, have attended a minimum of 2 educational seminars and membership dues paid prior to October 20, 2023. Women’s Wine Alliance Voting Board Members are ineligible to receive scholarship awards, however if they contribute to the Board and do not hold a vote, they are eligible to apply.
